Despite reservations about classic Northern Soul vinyl and Hi-Fi combination nobody could deny last night’s 11th Vinylsessions event was an amazing success- packed to the rafters! Local soul expert & collector Ian Smith put together an fascinating insight into the genre and we spun an array of 7” for a change! All told in excess of £430 raised last night with gift-aid. Thanks to my VS team and all who came along and supported the event. The old Garrard SP25 added a nostalgic feel and sounded amazing with the Stanton 500ED cartridge – the 150w Sony receiver and KEF 104 combination took everything in it’s stride!
