Meat Loaf £400 raised – Despite my overwhelming initial anxiety caused by our Garrard/Quad combination last nights event was fantastic, the atmosphere was amazing with a great turn out. The audio preformed faultlessly and although only off the bench after major resto work this Monday with hardly any soak test the detail and quality was quite spellbinding – really sucked every bit of detail from the original pressing of this 1977album. Graham Chalmers made it to Leeds on time (and back!).
Thanks to my ace team – Karen, Jill & Colette who drive these events so well and Jim Dobbs for the work with the video presentation. If you want the pics of the 405 amp resto putting up let me know!
It was great to see friends old and new Ian Smith, Joshua Ryan Balla Gareth Jones, Scott Wall, Chris Spittal, Chris Close ,Michael Best plus our regulars Robert Robinson and Andrew Rainey & Stephen Clark (who could not make this one) among so many others who without you all we could not have made our total of over £3500 in just 8 events.
A final big thanks to ALL our sponsors including Ann Townsend and Karen Christy (Howard & Precision Labs Team) who have both done and given so much to help.
Have a great Christmas & Happy, Healthy 2019. Heads up it’s Dire Straits 16th January, Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds provisional for 20th February & Ian Smith has a superb Northern Soul event with us for 20th March.
